Presidential Global Scholars

I recently participated in a new University Honors program – Presidential Global Scholars. I stayed in Riva San Vitale, Switzerland with about 30 other students for the semester (January 13, 2012 – May 2, 2012.) We studied a variety of topics with several of Virginia Tech’s most exceptional professors, all while traveling Europe on the weekends.

You can read about my experiences and view some of my pictures here on this this blog; posts that are school assignments for the trip will be categorized under “Presidential Global Scholars.” If you would like more information on the program you can also read about it on its official website. There are also Virginia Tech News articles about it here and here.

Rising Sophomore Abroad Program

Arc de Triomphe in the center of Paris

I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Europe in the summer of 2011 with 21 friends and 3 faculty/staff from Virginia Tech as a part of the Rising Sophomore Abroad Program. While we were only there for two weeks, we managed to visit four countries and many universities, companies, and culturally significant landmarks. If you would like to read about my experience, feel free to check out my blog about it.

You can also visit Virginia Tech’s official page for more information, where you can also find websites designed by every student who has ever participated.
